Contents page analysis

I analysed the contents page of a Kerrang magazine at it the most similar magazine music genre to my Ghandi music magazine music genre. 

Front Cover

This is my first front cover idea, I am not completely happy with it so far. I have another photograph that I would like to try with similar writing and headlines. I also will make a front cover with lots of the band logos on and less of just a normal font. I don't think that the date and price are not as clear as I would like. 

Photoshop Use

I used the re-touch tool to perfect Jake's skin, making the finished product look a lot more professional.

 ghandi-music.com is not taken so I can put this on my magazine front cover.

Mock Up 1

This is my mock up using an artist that it is the music genre I am using for my music magazine, it has a dull black and white effect which I used on my first front cover. There isn't enough text on the left hand side and I don't think that the font looks professional and I think the colour scheme needs to be clearer. The fact that there isn't a header doesn't show any authenticity. There is a footer at the bottom but the text doesn't fill the banner which makes it look unprofessional as well as the 'Tumblr' logo not being properly cut out. The barcode fits well though and I think that the magazine name stands out well and is in an appropriate and professional font.
